Hello Elliot

Welcome to FPCH

What browser are you using and what, if any, error messages to you get?

Posted

IE7, no error messages as such, just that once I leave youtube and go back later (opening a new browser page) it wont let me go to the homepage and freezes until I delete all my history etc.

Thanks for the welcome

Hi ELLIOT;

Lets try the basics first. Try the Reset IE and see what happens.

Hi Randy, did that, no change, cheers.

I also reinstalled IE7 yesterday, and Flash Player 9 this morning.

One thing though, I did install MS Silverlight recently,uninstalled it yesterday incase that was affecting it, but still not working, do you think that might have left something nasty buried somewhere that knackers youtube?, not that MS would do anything sinister like that of course!

MS lol. If this problem only surfaced recently around the same time as you installed Silverlight try doing a System Restore.

System Restore is not a reinstall. System Restore simply rolls back your PC to a point before you had issues.

Scroll down to Use System Restore and restore to a point before you experienced this problem.
