ELLIOT Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 Hi all, I can only seem to use youtube if I clear and delete all my internet history/cookies etc in options after each visit to the website...any ideas? Thanks in advance Quote
Guest Wolfeymole Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 Hello Elliot Welcome to FPCH What browser are you using and what, if any, error messages to you get? Quote
ELLIOT Posted September 17, 2008 Author Posted September 17, 2008 IE7, no error messages as such, just that once I leave youtube and go back later (opening a new browser page) it wont let me go to the homepage and freezes until I delete all my history etc. Thanks for the welcome Quote

RandyL Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 Hi ELLIOT; Lets try the basics first. Try the Reset IE and see what happens. Quote We are all members helping other members. ELLIOT Posted September 17, 2008 Author Posted September 17, 2008 (edited) Hi Randy, did that, no change, cheers. I also reinstalled IE7 yesterday, and Flash Player 9 this morning. One thing though, I did install MS Silverlight recently, uninstalled it yesterday incase that was affecting it, but still not working, do you think that might have left something nasty buried somewhere that knackers youtube?, not that MS would do anything sinister like that of course! RandyL Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 MS lol. If this problem only surfaced recently around the same time as you installed Silverlight try doing a System Restore. ELLIOT Posted September 17, 2008 Author Posted September 17, 2008 No, not as yet, its my work PC, so cant do it until later, what would I need to do, do I need the install discs? Quote
RandyL Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 System Restore is not a reinstall. System Restore simply rolls back your PC to a point before you had issues. Scroll down to Use System Restore and restore to a point before you experienced this problem. Quote We are all members helping other members.
