When I got my Laptop it already had a version of Windows XP loaded on. Problem was it turned out to be an illegal version and was corrupt. So I put on a 2nd version of XP on, this time legitimit.

Now I've got two versions on, how can I safely remove the first version?

I'm left with a Windows and a Windows.0 folders for each version. Is it safe just to delete one of these? If so which one?

Any help is appreciated, cheers

You really need to reformat the PC and install the legit one that you have - you could use a partition program and format the old partition and then join the 2 but in terms of ease its easier to just format the drive and reinstall
