Guest mhowell Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 Re: 4 gb of ram displays as 3.5 gb in system properties I usually do. However, I have blogs blocked at work and can't review them. Guest Celina Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 RE: 4 gb of ram displays as 3.5 gb in system properties Hi, I had the same problem. Simply add /PAE (= physical adress extension) to your boot.ini and reboot your system. The system properties should now change to 4 GB usable RAM. It has something to do with shared memory from some cards in your system that use memory the system then cannot allocate (if I have it correct in my memory).
