Guest Francesco Cerasa Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 Good afternoon all. Here is my issue. I have a Windows 2003 server with the latest service packs and hot fixes running in a Windows 2000 domain managed by a SBS2000 installation. The server works fine, it runs as a Terminal Server onto wich a number of users centrally run an accounting application along with MS Office and other applications. The issue is related to the accounting application when printing and connecting to the local fax service configured. If the fax is sent and the destination number is dialed in manually into the fax wizard, eveything works fine. The wizard ends, the fax is sent and the control gets back to the accounting application which can continue to execute properly. I have also enabled users to confgure the Outlook Address Book and therefore use it to select recipients in sending faxes. When I perform the above operation and send a fax as a result of a printout of the accounting application, selecting one of the configured contacts in the Address Book, the fax is still sent, the fax wizard ends properly, the control gets back to the accounting appllication which seems to loose the environmental parameters and quits non finding the executable modules anymore. Initially I have some issues with the fax service itself and after researching I fixed it giving the built-in NETWORK Service the following Access Rights: Adjust memory quotas for a process Generate security audits Log on as a service Replace a Process level token Log on as a batch job. All other apps work fine with the fax, including client PC's onto which I have installed the Fax Client Software allowing client desktop application to send fax through the server without opening a remote desktop\teminal server session. I have no other source or idea prior to go back to the accounting application software development and ask then whether they can troubleshoot their application and fix it. The same application was previously running fine an properly interacting with the fax service when installled on the SBS2000 system of the newtork. Any Help? Thanks Francesco C
