Guest Scott Elgram Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 Hello, I have set up a VPN (RRAS) on a windows server 2003 standard machine. I can access the VPN just fine from outside the network and the VPN server on it's own can access all network resources without a problem. However, for a client connected to the VPN server to use a network resource, i.e. map a network drive, the client must add ".DOMAIN" to any network resource it wishes to access. For example: If a computer from within the domain (Not connected through VPN) wishes to map a networked drive it can do so with "NET USE Z: \\COMPUTER\Share". But if a computer connected through the VPN wishes to map the same drive it must use "NET USE Z: \\COMPUTER.DOMAIN\Share". Is this by design or have I missed something in my setup? -- -Scott
