Can't open existing files created with Microsoft Office 2000 on new desktop computer with Windows 10.

I have numerous documents created with Microsoft Office 2000 while I had Windows 7. Now, I have a newer desktop computer which came with Windows 10 installed. I had all my old files transferred to the new desktop and cannot open those files created with the earlier version of Microsoft Office 2000. How do I open those saved files?
