Unable to copy MS Word .docx file to remote computer

When I remote desktop (RDP) to my kids computer, I can copy .jpg and .zip files to his desktop. But I am unable to copy an MS Word file. I just here a "ding" and it does not copy. These are both Windows 11 PC's.Why can I copy some file types but not an MS Word file during this RDP session?
