Thanks a lot for help with missing drivers installation.

But I still have problem: now with the Internet connection.

I have cable modem, Belkin router and wireless Belkin adapter in my computer, located on the 2nd floor.

Before my troubles with missing drivers, the Internet connection was stable. Now there is connection but to another Network with "no signal", and when I try to look the List of wireless Networks, message appears: Windows can't configuring the wireless connection and recommendation to configure my wireless connection with Wireless Zero Configuration (WZC).

But when I try to open WZC typing in 'Run": SEVICES.MSC, there appears error message.

What I can do to fix my Internet connection?

Thank you

Additional info: when I check the Device Manager, it shows that almost all (except one) Network adapters have yellow ! I tried to uninstall them but every time got message: "Failed to uninstall the device. The device may be required to boot up the computer"

I guess this is the reason, why Windows can't configuring my Wireless Internet connection.

Could somebody help me to uninstall the corrupted Network adapters??

Thank you.

The BIOS is the nuts and bolts of your machine, you would see nothing without it.

On boot up you will see a screen similar to the one in this link,

http://forum.ecoustics.com/bbs/messages/34579/147074.gif

In that screen it says at the very bottom Press Del to enter Setup

This will take you into the bios and then make sure you have disabled the LAN boot similar to this pic.

Do you use the Window's wireless utility to connect, or a program from Belkin?

Go into Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Services. Try to change the WZC to automatic.

Can you also please post a screen shot (or manual listing) of what's listed in Device Manager's "Network Adapters"?

Hello , Seth:

I opened the Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Services.

Startup type for WZC is automatic, but Service status is 'stopped'.

When I click on 'start' buitton, message appears:

'Could not start the WZC service on local computer. Error 1068: the dependency

service or group failed to start.

What else I may do?

Thank you

Do you use the Window's wireless utility to connect, or a program from Belkin?

The USB wireless adapter should have come with a cd that has a wireless utility in which you can search for available wireless networks.

Have you tried reinstalling that program? Do you have a listing for a Belkin wireless utility in your program files?

It will list the dependency services, so try turning those on first.

Hello, Seth:

I used the CD, which came with Belkin adapter to reinstall the Belkin adapter drive, but there wasn't any Belkin wireless utility program files. I guess that wireless configuration before was performed with Window. But now it doesn't work for some reason.

It seems that problem in my corrupted Network adapters, which I can't uninstall for ability to reinstall them. :-(

Well since the belkin adapter shows up fine in device manager, I doubt that's the problem. Especially since the window's wireless utility won't open.

When you go into control panel>network connections, what do you see?

Also have a look here to help get the wireless utility working:

When I opened the Dependency services tab, it shows:

in first part:

This service depends on the following system components:

- NDIS Usermode I/O Protocol

- Remote Procedure Call (RPC)

in the second part:

Thte following system components depended on this service:

- no Dependencies

So, I can't turning the dependency services first.

Ando no way to start the WZC... :-(

Make sure the startup type for the following is set to automatic, and that the service is running:

- NDIS Usermode I/O Protocol

- Remote Procedure Call (RPC)

Do the same for the services in the link I posted.

When I open the Network connections, there are:

Disconnected, Firewalled

WAN Miniport (PPPOE)

LAN or High-Speed Internet:

Local Area Connection with red cross

Network cable unplugged, Firewalled

Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast

Wireless Network Connection 2

Connected, Firewalled

Realtek RTL8187B Wireless 802.11g

1394 Net Adapter

Local Area Connection with red cross

Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast

That's the info for the wired connection, and it's fine.

Wireless Network Connection 2

Connected, Firewalled

Realtek RTL8187B Wireless 802.11g

Now that's confusing. It shows a Realtek wireless adapter as functioning correctly, but you said that you use a Belkin USB wireless adapter.

What is the make and model of the computer?

Also, right click on that Realtek Wireless Connection 2 and choose Status>Support. What is the IP address?

hello, Seth:

Yes, I reinstall the Belkin adapter, but there wasn't any wireless utitlity in the CD which accompanies the adapter.

I think the connection to Internet was performed by Window's wireless utility.

Your #16 post doesn't show a wireless connection 4:confused:

Anyway, that info shows that your wireless is working on your computer. You should be able to "View Available Wireless Networks" and connect to your router.
