Guest Justin VN Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 Is there a way to prevent particular files from being saved on our file server? For example, many users are copying mp3 files on our server. Each week I am having to remove them. JT

Discuss the matter with management. 2. Publish a policy that bans .mp3 files from shared drives. 3. Run a scheduled task every night that deletes all .mp3 files. You will find that most users will accept the policy immediately. Those who don't will soon get the message. If you're concerned about permanently deleting certain files, run another scheduled job before Step 3 that copies all .mp3 files to a dedicated disk on a workstation. Disks are cheap!
