Guest Rob Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 Can windows 2000/2003 log the source MAC forincoming connections? If so I would assume this can be found in the security log but I can't locate any mac addresses there. Is windows capable of doing this and if so where or what policy would enable this? Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks -Rob

As a workaround, you can have a scheduled task that store arp -a output. If you have a dhcp server, you may watch its leases. -- Cordialement, Mathieu CHATEAU http://lordoftheping.blogspot.com "Rob" <Rob@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:DED0BB4D-C9BB-41D9-A10A-6E3F2C3EB721@microsoft.com... > Can windows 2000/2003 log the source MAC forincoming connections? > > If so I would assume this can be found in the security log but I can't > locate any mac addresses there.
