Guest DSG Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 I have backup files on a compressed drive (E:). I want to refresh the operating system's uncompressed drive C: with these files Is this acceptable? Do the compressed files remain compressed? Or do they become uncompressed in the transfer? Is there a down side? dsg

Whether they are compressed or not will depend on the setting of the destination directory. If it's set for compression, they'll be compressed. If not, they won't. HTH Pop`
