Guest alice Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 I was prompted to down load the new Windows Desktop Search, and thought it would be good idea. Ooops. Now I can't seem to search my PC the way I used to. I set the whole C drive for indexing, and set it to but still, when I search on Documents for *.*doc, and set the folder to my folder where, in another folder window that I have open I can clearly see the doc files I have, it can't find anything. No results. Since this replaced the old search feature, I'm stuck with it unless- a) is there a way to restore the old XP search function or b) is there a way to get this one to work, meaning to actually search and find files on my hard drive?
