how do i add two photos with the same name to a folder without replacing one with the other?

i am trying to figure out how to add 2 different jpg images to a folder both titled simply "1" but when i try the only two options are to either not add it at all, or replace the old photo permanently with the new photo. iPhoto will automatically add it and will add -1, -2,-3 to the end and will just keep going up as you add duplicate named photos to a folder but no matter how long i look there is no setting to change for this in the photos application. any help would be appreciated...
