Updated Bios, now windows can't be activated

Hard drive died so replaced it. Windows refused to activate. Had to update bios and windows still doesn't work.Upgraded from win 8 and it now tells me I cannot do the same if I reinstall again, have to spend $500 for a new key?!?!Can you please activate this thing, can't setup my pc until it is and this is frustrating since it was all working a few days ago!!***Move from Microsoft 365 and Office / Subscription, account, billing / For business / Subscription and billing ***
