Cannot RDP to previous windows server version

we're having issue trying to remotely connect, via RDP, from windows 2022 servers to windows 2008R2 server.When prompted for user and password the authentication fails, and the credentials are correct.We tried to remotely connect from a Windows 2008R2 to same version, with same credentials, and it works.Is there something with security settings that doesn't match ?thanks
