Guest Don Wiss Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 I have just resurrected a computer. The motherboard died. I replaced the motherboard, reformatted C: and reinstalled XP Pro. Now when it starts up it asks for the user. Before it went right into "Don", the only user on the system. How do I get it back to the way it was? OR Start/Run and enter: CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2 On the User tab: pick (highlight) the account you want to automatically log on Then uncheck: Users must enter username and password Next click Apply and enter the password (if the account you pick has a password) Finally click OK until your completely out JS "Don Wiss" <donwiss@no_spam.com> wrote in message news:q3h8e3d33p110l5pubgu7ubfdcrdrllk7k@4ax.com... >I have just resurrected a computer.
