Why can i not make or login to my GroupMe account on my Samsung phone?

I am new to GroupMe, so i am trying to create an account, but every time i enter my information, it says "Unexpected error, please try again." Yes, i agreed to terms and services, and yes i have everything filled in correctly, but it wont let me login to my account (i had to make on my laptop) on my phone. i need to fix this problem ASAP. please tell me what to do to fix this
