RE: default mail client error

Hi, I am a newcomer to this forum 'cos of having this same "default..."

problem - I was wondering if you could provide any suggestions.

I have an HP laptop running Windows XP and use OUTLOOK for e-mail

(though OE is also installed) and have been using Outlook successfully

for some 3 years.

IE7 is my default access to the internet though again I have Fire fox

installed for experimental purposes.

I have been developing a web site and am trying to provide an e-mail

link.

The link works fine in FireFox but under IE I keep getting the DEfault

message.

Under IE properties Outlook is set as my e-mail prog;

under "set access and defaults" use my current e-mail prog" is

selected (under custom) and OE is deselected.

I still get the same error.

In fact last night when I tried to use this messaging area and them to

send it to you, the system came up with the error!

Can any one help with this please?

John
