My BitLocker recovery key will not work a second time when the computer locked up again

I put in the BitLocker recovery key that I was able to retrieve from my Microsoft account. Entering that I was able to get into my laptop. However I got some weird error message from Norton and it went back into that blue screen asking for the recovery key again. I had the recovery key information from my first problem, however when I input the same key information it did not work. I am still locked out of my computer. How do I get that resolved? I am very much a novice on this problem. I had never heard of a BitLocker key until this blue screen appeared.
