Installing a network driver without KVM - only QEMU

So I rented a OVH/kimsufi server. I need Windows Server on it and I went the QEMU route and installed it successfully. The only problem is that the machine does not seem to get the ethernet device ready correctly.

It has an Intel i218-V and I already read about .inf file modifications to make the driver work BUT I don‘t know how to install them (except for during QEMU boot, when the network device is not present but replaced with the virtual QEMU one).

So basically I installed the modified driver but was never able to have the network device use it (I guess) as I cannot ping the server ones I boot from /dev/sda where I installed WS2022.

Any hint how I could make this work?

Thanks in advance!

Edit: This is where I read about the driver issue: Reddit - Dive into anything
