Windows 11 KB5041585 and KB5042099 updates only reach 96% on restart and then crash my system

The restart crashes so my computer eventually resets. Sometimes it goes through the process a few times before finally stopping and letting me use it. I then turn off the updates so I can use my computer for a few days and try again but the same problem has happened for several iterations. During some of the iterations I have seen a quick flash of the blue screen of death. Shouldn't this result in an error report being sent to those in charge of Windows? I have been unable to find any reports on problems with these updates that are similar to mine. When using my computer after it being r
