How to fix corrupt image downloads

Downloading images from my NAS, or any other source for that matter, results in corrupt and scrambled images on my ASUS laptop Windows 11 desktop. These images download properly on my Windows 10 desktop so that I know the source files are good. I tried viewing them in a few other apps other than File Explorer but the images are corrupt no matter how I view them. I'm not sure how to fix or troubleshoot this issue. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
