Can access BIOS, but on startup my monitors can't find any signal

I had a Windows update notification before bed last night, so I updated and went to bed. After work I get home and the computer is on but there is no signal to the monitors. I restart by holding the power button til it turns off, and on restart at the gigabyte screen I noticed it said attempting repair, or something along those lines. Come back a few minutes later and the same thing. nothing on the monitors. Repeat and this time get to a windows troubleshoot screen and attempt to reset to previous point(forgive my ludditism please). It performs the reset and displays the progress during the pr
