Computer acting weird after reinstalling Windows, unable to install updates

I have a fairly low-end PC running Windows 10 that I got back in 2017 (Acer model number P0YCY). My current problems started when the computer BSOD'd with the error "page fault in unpaged area". Looking this up online suggested it was pretty serious, and both the sfc /scannow and dism commands aborted partway through running (even after running chkdsk /r), so I downloaded the Windows ISO file (on another computer as mine didn't have the 8 GB of space needed to store it) and reinstalled Windows.
