Main drive keeps losing space after failed download.

As the title says I tried downloading a file from Chrome without me noticing my insufficient space. After said download stopped, after a quick search, I went over to C:\Users\User Name\Downloads and deleted the incomplete file. After doing so I noticed that my drive kept losing space and as I'm writting this right now after deleting it from the recycle bin and gaining back some space, I saw that I'm still losing it slowly. I'm not knowledgeable in this so if there is a solution to my matter, other than a format, as well as an app that makes it easier or helps me check for stuff like that I'd a
