MICROPHONE JACK NOT PLUGGED IN - HOW TO GO BACK TO THE DEFAULT SETTING?

Whenever I used to plug in my headphones it asked me what device I plugged in, every time I had to select and press OK, but this one time after selecting, I selected "DON'T ASK ME AGAIN " and pressed OK. Now, when I connect my headphones, I can listen to the audio, but it does not detect my microphone.I tried using a different pair of headphones and the same issue happenedI tried scanning the computer for hardware changesI Tried updating the Realtek Audio driver automaticallyTried uninstalling Realtek AudioNothing is working, how to fix it & go back to the previous setting?
