How do I correctly reuse my license on a new pc I am building?

Hello, I am building myself a new PC. I am changing everything except for the SSD. My Windows 10 OS is installed on the SSD. What is the correct procedure for reusing my license key and OS?Will I have to reinstall the OS even though it's already on a drive connected to the new motherboard?If not, and the OS is already installed, will there be a prompt at some point when I will need to type in the license key?And finally, how do I deactivate the license from the current pc before moving to the new one? I don't really understand what happens if I deactivate, does the OS just stop working instant
