Bios Update frozen and flickering

My laptop keeps having issues with the display, frozen screen, flickering, etc. I open up my laptop to see it automatically started a bios update. The problem is, the bios update screen is frozen and flickers of laptop is moved even slightly. What can I do? I know the display could be a ram issue but I can’t get to it safely without powering off the laptop and I don’t want to brick the system since the BIOS update is still going.
