Guest nagsteer Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 Has anyone been unfortunate enough to be cursed by something called WinSpy, a " monitoring tool" in other words something dubious to start with then being used by some really low-down rotten cretins. Does anyone know anything about this stuff, or how to get rid of it, or how to stop from getting it?? It apparently slid right in under Microsoft OneCare Live, who discovered it after it installed, can block it, but can't quarantine it so I can delete it. I can't find anything to see it, where it is, etc. Thanks for any help I can get manzie

Please be aware that not all local shops are skilled at removing malware and even if they are, your computer may be so infested that Windows will need to be clean-installed. Have all your data backed up before you take the machine into a shop. Malke -- Elephant Boy Computers http://www.elephantboycomputers.com "Don't Panic!" MS-MVP Windows - Shell/User
