I did a full reset my laptop and now when I turn it on it won’t let me login

I feel the context is important here:I’m starting university this week coming and was hoping to get another year out of my mums old laptop- it’s been running very slow lately and since there was nothing important on it I decided to do a full reset in the hopes that anything taking up space or slowing it down would disappear. When it first turns on after doing this it goes through the language, keyboard, and wifi settings and then comes up with a page saying “sign in with your work or school Microsoft account”. I tried logging in with my personal one because this is a personal laptop first and
