I have a problem that whenever I am in voice chats with people, they can always hear whatever is going on in my room.

I think the noise suppression is not working. Whenever I'm in a voice chat, they can always hear the computer fans or typing on the keyboard. I have tried many things to fix this, but I just can't find what to do. I have checked the steam voice chat settings, and it says noise suppression is on, but it does nothing. When I mute the laptop mic it also mutes my headset mic, and I don't know how to change that.
