IP Address Change

Summary/Goal:

I am wanting to change IP Addresses on 4 of my 10 servers to get them on the

same segment. This is to simplify my DR Plan as my MS Environment is

recovered at a different 'hot-site' than my Novell environment. My final

goal is to get all Novell Servers on a Segment and MS Servers on seperate

Segment.

Environment:

I run DNS/DHCP via my Novell products. I know that I will have to change

the DNS entries there and I will have to work with my development group for

any 'hard coded' IP Addresses in other applications.

Other than going to the connection, IP information, and changing there, what

else or where else might I need to change.

Thanks in advance to any information.

If you have WINS servers installed on your network you might need to

tombstone the old records; and you might need to change DHCP options

related to WINS as well as DNS. In addition you will need to reconfigure

the default gateway settings on the servers after they've been moved.
