Why does Windows have soooo many updates?

Whenever this happens, nothing else (on my end works). Seems likes it wants to prioritize MY life. Something took place on the 23rd or 24, because when I booted up today, 25th, all of my websites with password saved were gone. It had installed another program (forgot what it was I was so pissed) but I had to go into it and toggle off everything it wanted to send to the cloud, really!!Right now, all I want to do is play Farmville 2 Country Escape. I'm 65, retired and would like to spend my time not writing to you!!!!
