I can't sign in to an online email account because I am being forced to provide a passkey that I never setup and do not have

I am trying to login to Gmail but have been stopped by a Windows Security prompt that is demanding I provide a 'passkey' to login to that online account, but I do not have a passkey for that account, I never set up a passkey for that account.How do I get Windows to get out of my way, and just let my provide my password as I always have? At no point in time did I opt in to using 'passkeys'.Why is this being pushed when it's this utterly broken??
