PC froze on lock screen at update restart

I just downloaded the latest Windows 11 update. Upon restart, the screen froze on the lock screen (with the clock functioning). Nothing else works, including keyboard and mouse. I tried a cold start with pressing F12 and that simply told me the following: >>Checking Media Presence...... >>Media Present...... >Start PXE over IPv6 on MAC: 88-AE-DD-07-BC-C2. After a minute or so, the monitor returns to lock screen and I cannot access anything.How can I access the PC to disable or delete the offending update?
