Guest cari Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 Re: Device Manager Does Not Recognize Kodak EasyShare Camera I had the same problem with my Kodak easyshare, but I didn't use the USB port - I plugged my memory card straight into the computer. After digging, my computer said I had a "Code 10" error. After troubleshooting, it told me to uninstall the program that recognizes the memory card, and reinstall it. I've uninstalled it... but NO ONE has been able to help me find out where to redownload the program. I e-mailed microsoft twice, and both times they redirected me to outside sources. Can anyone help me? I'm not exactly sure what I deleted because I assumed I could just go step by step with troubleshooting until that utterly and completely failed -- now I don't even think I have a device manager. Google hasn't helped yet, either. If anyone can help, please please PLEASE reply!

Kodak Easyshare is an automated pile of junk. You would be better off just transferring the picture files directly from the camera, or a chip reader, to the hard drive. (Window XP should see both if they are USB plug-ins) 2. You would get a new copy of Easyshare from Kodak, not from Microsoft. It is Kodak software. Guest cari Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 Re: Device Manager Does Not Recognize Kodak EasyShare Camera Re: Device Manager Does Not Recognize Kodak EasyShare Camera I actually downloaded that already -- that was the first thing I tried. Still not working -- does someone know where I can just find the program that reads memory cards? I know it came with Microsoft XP Home Edition -- I definitely shouldn't have uninstalled it, even though troubleshooting told me to do so. Dell isn't helping, the customer service from Microsoft isn't helping... it's kind of ridiculous. Makes me wish I knew more about computers, haha.

If any files are damaged or missing, they'll be replaced. You may need to reboot afterwards so damaged files will be replaced. - Go to the computer manufacturer website and see if there are any patches, or downloads for the media ports. -- Joe =o)
