Help - can't remove window shadowing...

Hello Forum!

I hope someone can help me remove the shadowing that is left behind on my

screen when certain notification windows, dialog boxes, or drop boxes close.

It doesn't happen all the time or with any apparent pattern or consistency,

and the only way I have found to remove them is to log off or switch users

back and forth. Usually the fix is short, but then other times it behaves

properly for hours. The time lost is most frustrating, not to mention the

difficulty reading what is hidden behind the shadows or my growing anger with

this problem.

I would surely appreciate any comments or suggestions.... and yes, I have

already tried threatening the monitor with my Louisville Slugger baseball

bat, to no avail ! Thanks in advance!

Go to the web site of the manufacturer of your video card an get the

current driver and install it.

Hi JT

I agree with Bob about the video driver. Meanwhile, a fix that often

works is to open a program such as your web browser and maximise it so

it covers the whole screen. That forces the screen to redraw and often

when you then minimise or close the program your screen is fine again.
