Dell PowerEdge T140, is an upgrade from WS 2019 to WS 2022 simple enough?

I'm the owner of a dentist office with a Dell PowerEdge T140 (Windows Server 2019, Intel i3-8100 CPU, 64MB memory) running as a DNS server, fileshare, and host to a couple of business critical imaging applications... one runs on Postgres, the other on SQL Server. One of these applications has a large update that requires Windows 10 (or newer) or Windows Server 2022.

The thought is to make two upgrades:

  1. CPU upgrade from Intel i3-8100 to Intel Xeon E-2288G;
  2. OS upgrade from Windows Server 2019 to Windows Server 2022 Standard;

Are these upgrades as simple as 1) backup, 2) dropping in the new CPU and heatsink 3) purchasing a 16 core license (from CDW? Ebay?) 4) downloading the ISO, mounting and installing? That's the process I would take for upgrading a traditional desktop PC (mostly) without issue.

I did the OG configurations myself with the help of Google and ChatGPT. I would really like to avoid a wasted weekend debugging or redoing long standing configurations.
