Problem with latest quality update

The latest update causes ,my computer to start, log in fine, then I have a black screen with cursor only. If I crash the computer 3 times I can get to the troubleshooting and uninstall it. Usable for a session then the next start up it installs them again. I have updates turned off in settings?There must be a way to stop this? Asus laptop about 3 yrs old running win 11. Tell me i dont need to buy a new laptop just because of a broken update
