Hi!

I was tasked with creating a standard Windows golden image that would be use to deploy servers.

I have basic knowledge about DISM and sysprep, so I started to research to get the best way to create said golden image.

Now that confused me a lot, because there are several ways to get the job done, and I can't seem to find advantages of one over another.

Sooo for example, what is the difference between installing Windows and generalizing that installation, versus using dism with the apply-image switch, or versus capturing that image?

What methods would go well with anothers? Is there something I should avoid, or every method is intended to work with any other?

Thanks!
