Microsoft ergonomic keyboard 4000, v1 - wired - when hitting the Tab key, the Caps Lock key comes on

I've got Windows 11 and the wired version of the Microsoft Ergonomic 4000, v1 keyboard, and recently when I hit the Tab key on my keyboard, the Caps Lock is turned on. I've taken off the two keys (tab and caps lock) and cleaned them and checked for updated drivers. This is the wired version of the keyboard. I hate to replace the keyboard as the rest of the keys are fine. Does anyone have any advice?
