how to tell if you're key is no longer valid cuz you switched the /c/ disk? got 11 pro 2 maybe 3 wks ago, a vbox instance grew out of control and caused bsod and boot errors. sfc chkdsk had no effect, option to "refresh" or whatever from disk wasn't an option, bought new disk and shelved the other for future exploration. errors each time on key which im looking at right now, even scratched it again to see if maybe that D wasn't a B type thing. no dice. i still have the /c/ it was installed on, and id certainly rather pay for some recovery software to restore it to working condition if ofc
