Guest Jerry T. Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 I've searched Google and this NG and haven't seen my exact situation described or resolved so I'll try asking for myself. When I Alt-Tab to switch back to the last-used application, some other application that I haven't used in a while will come forward, too (but not always). Sometimes that 2nd application is one that was minimized. It's like Alt-Tab is unclear that I just want the last application, or that the ordering of applications in the list gets fubar'd. I've also seen this behavior when I click a URL in, say, an Outlook email message. I keep one IE7 window open for various tasks but rarely switch to it so when I click a URL in an Outlook message, I get not only the new IE7 window but also the old IE7 window comes forward behind it. Then, if I want to Alt-Tab, Outlook is not the application that I would be switched back to. It's the old IE7 window. I have to hit Alt-Tab-Tab to get back to Outlook. I'm all SP'd and patched and whatnot and running Windows XP Pro. Surely I'm not the only person to whom this has occurred. JT
