Guest Diana Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 I just rec'd the latest service pack install and it is asking me to insert my Microsoft Office with FrontPage CD... I can't find it and cancel the install. BUT, now I can't open Excel without the same prompt appearing. What is happening and how do I fix this?

When you say you RECEIVED the latest service pack, what do you mean? (There are bogus emails around that say they have the latest updates...)

Guest PA Bear Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 Re: SP3 Help 1. Go to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=85AF7BFD-6F69-4289-8BD1-EB966BCDFB5E 2. Scroll down to and follow the instructions under "To install SP3 without the original Office XP CD". 3. You want to download/install the file named 'OfficeXpSp3-kb832671-fullfile-enu.exe' (57.5MB). -- Office Update-specific newsgroup: http://news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.officeupdate ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-Windows (IE, OE, Security, Shell/User) since 2002 Diana wrote: > I just rec'd the latest service pack install and it is asking me to insert > my Microsoft Office with FrontPage CD...
