The freezer 7 will be fine.

ok you need a minimum of 1 at the top (preferably 120mm or above)

one at the back 120 again and 2 at the front 120 again and that is fine -

if you can have 2 at the top 2 at the back and 2 at the front then thats even better and will be like a little igloo -

Like my Lian Li PC343b :D

It has 5 at the front 6 at the back abd 2 at the top :D

That PC isnt a bad spec but 22" monitors are around £100-£150 now

Well will the standard 230mm fans be fine on their own at the top and side, or should I replace them with the 7 x 120mm ones?

I can get 3 on the top and 4 on the side and if my psu is short enough I can get another on the bottom behind the PSU

And I've found a 20" monitor for £102, is that a good price or should I look elsewhere?

The problem with the 230mm fans are that they can be really noisy - if they come with setting like the Antec's, High Medium and Slow ;) then thats ok.

thats about right for a 20" but make sure that it has a DVI port - also have a look at reviews of the monitor as some suffer from poor image quality and have an awful gloss on the screen and if you use it in the day is a nightmare

Alright, thanks. The sound of the fans are included in the post where I said them.

They run at 700 RPM and are 19 dBA

and the 140mm exhaust fan is 1200 rPM and 17 dBA

There are no 120mm fans included so the specs of those will dpeend on which ones I get.

This is the screen I had in mind, there isn't much choice for under £100 really is there?

You need the front fans at around 1000-1200 and the back ones less as there are more -

as for the monitor my mate bought one of these Digimate 20" L-2041WD monitor DVI Multimedia Black 8ms Widescreen (3yr Manufacturer's Warranty) - L-2041W - www.microdirect.co.uk its a no frills one but it looks fine when I set it all up for him

Okay thanks :D I'll take that one :P

And the fans are stuck at 700 RPM I believe, and you don't have to option of swapping it for 120mm's either.

Or would I have to install a Fan speed controller in one of the bays myself to control them?

and would it be best to have the 3 x 120mm fans on the top and the 4 x 120mm fans on the side instead of the big 230mm ones?

That's the only decision I have left to make, is the fans and their position :P

700 is very low -

I would leave the bigger ones in situe and then just add the 120 ones around them - I would not add too many on the side at all and if there is an option to not have any on the side panel at all I would opt for that - for good airflow you just need 2 at the front 2 at the back and 2 at the top - the ones on side panels may help keep the GPU colder but messes up the internal flow of air

How could I add 120's around them? as the 230mm top and front ones take up all the avaliable space, and I'll leave the side one on just to see what it's like and maybe try it without it too.

The only space I can see avaiable for a 120mm is that it says one can be put on the top in addition to the 230 but that's all I can see.

So maybe buy 2 extra 120mm fans? just incase.

By the look of the case, you cant replace the front one for anything else, I may be wrong but I've never seen it said in any reviews either. I could put 3 x 120mm on the top to make up for it? to get the heat out faster?

Can you recommend any sites for 120mm fans, I'd prefer red LED versions as it goes with the theme, I can only find 2 RED LED ones and they're not very good... I prefer the blades to light up not the whole case :P specific I know lol.

and should I put speed controllers onto any of them or all or none and just let them run automatically?

I still think that you are barking mad choosing that coolermaster case over the Antec twelve hundred.

as for the fans - just buy normal black fans or maybe UV reactive and get some reactive fans.

And forget the Antistatic stuff - just touch the copper pipe on the bottom of your radiator before you start - I have never had a component die from static on me handling it.

Other than that we seem to be getting there :D

Lol okay, i'll see what I can find, but I also want it to look good :P

As for my choice, I just LOVE the look of the HAF, it's different and I love it :P

and with the anti static stuff I'll just stick to the wristband, it cant hurt to take any extra precautions, £800 is a lot of my money to blow away :P

I don't like the look of the Antect but that's just me :P You got me to go for the Quad and the ATI but you're power ends at cases :P haha :D

Haha the nine hundred would have been my second choice :) it WAS my choice until I saw the HAF.. Blame the HAF.. Blame the HAF :P

And as RED LED fans are kind of hard to find, what about a clear fan with some RED lighting in the case?

I'm pretty intent on getting a distinct red glow emitting from this amazing case :P

Are those all reasonable prices up there? Or is it possible to make any dramatic savings on them from anywhere else?

So I'll buy the spec thats above and 1 or 2 x 120mm fans to add in just incase as they're not exactly expensive

Fans that have LEDS built in are expensive and they do not look as good as some Cold Cathode red tubes emitting :)

prices are negligable - but try and get as many of the parts from one place so that you dont get hammered on P&P 10 items from one place is about a £10

10 items from 10 places is more like £50 -

Yeah I'm currently looking at 5 different places, the majority of it is from Scan.co.uk except the GPU which must be from dinoPC as it's over £50 more from anywhere else.

10 out of the 17 items are from scan.

2 from ebuyer

2 from microdirect

2 from yoyotech

and 1 from dino PC

Would that be okay or is it worth it trying to get them all from scan as thats the major one I'm using?

Okay well with Ebuyer I get free P&P as I'm over £50 so I'm tyring to narrow it all down to ebuyer and scan only, except the graphics card from dinoPC.

Is there any extras that you think I will need, any small things, such as heatsinks, cables, etc?

I'm not getting the OEM processor so I guess I don't need a heatsink, but anything I might have forgotten?

I am getting OEM Windows, is that a problem? or is that fine?

OEM windows is fine.

As for anything else - I would personally opt for an OEM Q6600 if you can find one as you say that you have the freezer 7 cooling rather than the stock intel one.

You will get SATA cables etc with the MOBO, IDE ones too - so no worries on that - if you want to go the whole route of tidying the case in terms of clutter to help aid the airflow - then have a look at my sig and try and route the cables under the MOBO - I would also STRONGLY recommend SATA Optical drives as the wires are much smaller and easier to route under the MOBO -

Okay and if I am mouting the PSU at the bottom of the case, will my Hiper HPU 630W reach to the mobo if I reroute it or should I get an extender?

And the optical drives I've chosen are both SATA so no worries.

And the cheapest OEM Q6600 that I can find is more expensive than the non OEM one that I have at the moment, should I pay the extra for the OEM?

it's only like £2 or something :P

Have a look for a review of the PSU - some review sites like HEXUS list the cable lengths.

if its the sake of £2 then just get the one that is retail and then you have an extra heatsink - then if after a few years like me you accumilate about 40 of them - bang them on ebay lol

The only issue in terms of the cables not being long enough will only be the 4pin one - if you cant find a review that lists the cable length then buy an extender as they are only like £3

According to Benchmark review the Hiper M-series comes with an extender in the pack. So I guess that's all fine. :P

I am just guessing that the PSU and Mobo connectors will match? I haven't actually checked either of them :P haha.

I have compared the specs of my mobo and the psu and the mobo and all seems to eb fine, could you just check to make sure as I don't exactly do this everyday :D

If all is fine then I guess I finally have my finished spec, thanks to you :P

EDIT:

Haha just looking around and this case caught my eye :P

wont change my mind but it's an interesting case.
