Slave drive not detected

I recently installed a new hard drive but I cannot see it in windows when it

is installed as a slave. I can use it when it is installed as the primary

drive on the second channel and it is useable when installed as a slave when

I boot with Linux. For some reason any drive installed as a slave cannot be

seen in windows. Any suggestions?

Click Start / Run / diskmgmt.msc. You must now

partition & format the new disk.

The jumper must be set to the Slave position on the drive to be detected.

Also you say it is detected by Linux. Was the drive formatted using Linux?

If so you will need to repartition and reformat the drive as NTFS in order

to have Windows see it.
