Missing tape drive

I have a server with a Sony AIT 5 tape drive installed. A few weeks ago the

drive was replaced because of a malfunction. When I put the replacement

drive in I now see two drives in Removable Storage. The one has a red X on

it and the other is the drive that I just put in to replace the failed one.

I cannot get the server to backup using the Microsoft Backup Utility.

 

I have tried deleting the missing tape drive but that does not work, I

recieve an message that reads "Cannot delete 'Sony AIT 400GB SCSI Drive':

only 'Not present' libaries can be deleted." The library is not present so I

dod not see what the problem is.

 

Has anyone seen a problem like this?
