Guest jasonconstance@gmail.com Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 I'm working on a client's computer which is a Windows XP machine. The PC is on a domain with a Windows 2003 Server, which hosts several folders for this user to access. On the windows xp machine, however, the two mapped folders are not showing the entire contents of those folders when you browse to it through My Computer, etc. When you look at the shared folder on the server, all of the files are showing up. I tried to disconnect and re-map the drives, but I was given a login/ password prompt. I cant get this prompt to accept my login/password, or even the admin password on the server. Please help. Anyone have any suggestions?
Guest ervinta Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 RE: Cant connect to mapped drive (and other problems) It sounds like your cached credintials on the local PC are bad for a particular server. Go to control panel > user accounts > advanced > manage passwords. Choose the server that has the mapped drive is on and enter the correct password there. Your mapped drives should work now.
