Is there some way I can establish what programe is wanting to access the internet. I am useing Win XP home, and IE6. I have run spybot S & D, CA Virus Protector and have Comodo Firewall. Its anoying haveing the DUN box popping up all the time. I have turned off auto update on everything I can find but it still happens. Is there some way when it pops up that I can see where it originates.
Guest Newbie Coder Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 Re: Unknown dial up Picolo Pete, If you have always dial my default connection then when you open Internet Explorer you will get the DUN box Open Internet Explorer | TOOLS menu | INTERNET OPTIONS | CONNECTIONS tab & select 'Never Dial a Connection' | Click APPLY then OK If you don't need a dialup connection the just click REMOVE on the CONNECTIONS tab -- Newbie Coder (It's just a name) "Picolo Pete" <PicoloPete@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:8404D4B0-7841-4241-BE83-B2292C9A7957@microsoft.com... > I keep getting dial up networking "requests" popping up.
